Bison Resources Identifies Strong Carlin-Type Gold Indicators at Bald Peaks Project
Bison Resources Limited (ASX: BSR) has reported encouraging early exploration results from its Bald Peaks Project in Nevada, USA, highlighting strong geological indicators associated with a potential Carlin-type gold system. Initial reconnaissance work included 66 rock chip and float samples, which outlined a 1.5-kilometre-long arsenic-antimony geochemical anomaly. The mineralisation is accompanied by silicification, decalcification, gossanous breccias and jasperoid alteration, all of which are commonly linked to Carlin-style gold deposits. The company believes these findings validate its exploration model and suggest that the core of the mineralised system may remain undiscovered. Ongoing field activities include detailed geological mapping, soil sampling and additional rock chip sampling to refine exploration targets. Bison also plans to conduct airborne magnetic and ground gravity surveys before advancing to drill testing later this year. The project is located within Nevada’s prolific Carlin Trend, a region known for hosting some of the world's largest gold deposits.
