Electro Optic Systems Holdings Wins Significant US$45 Million Counter-Drone Order
Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (ASX: EOS) has announced securing two new unconditional orders for counter-drone systems, totaling US$45 million (approximately AU$64 million). The first order, valued at US$42 million (approximately AU$59 million), is for the Slinger Remote Weapon System (RWS) to enhance defense capabilities in the Middle East amidst regional tensions. This order includes cannons, platform integration, spares, and training.
The customer, a large defense contractor in the Middle East, has requested anonymity due to national security reasons. The order is subject to export approvals from Australia and the United States and is expected to be delivered in 2026, with possible adjustments to production schedules. The second order, worth US$3 million (approximately AU$5 million), involves EOS Defense Systems USA integrating counter-drone technology for an undisclosed large U.S. defense contractor. EOS continues to engage with Middle Eastern governments regarding advanced counter-drone systems.
