eMetals Advances Mineral Range Tungsten Exploration in Utah
eMetals Limited (ASX: EMT) has reported encouraging progress at its 100%-owned Mineral Range Tungsten Project in Utah, USA, where exploration activities are focused on expanding known high-grade tungsten mineralisation associated with historic mining operations. The company successfully re-entered the historic Garnet Mine at multiple underground levels, confirming the presence of mineralised zones through field observations and shortwave UV identification techniques. High-resolution LiDAR surveys were completed to generate detailed three-dimensional models of the underground workings, providing valuable data for assessing historical mine development and supporting future resource evaluation efforts.
Eight samples, including channel and rock-chip samples, were collected from underground workings and submitted for laboratory analysis, with assay results expected within the next four to six weeks. The project covers 109 mineral claims across approximately 838 hectares and contains around 12 kilometres of prospective strike length.
Data gathered from the recent field program will be used to refine exploration targets and support a maiden drilling campaign planned for the September quarter, aimed at testing extensions of historically productive tungsten-bearing skarn zones.
