Sunshine Metals Sells Hodgkinson Asset to Sharpen Focus on Core Growth Projects
Sunshine Metals Limited (ASX: SHN) has agreed to divest its Hodgkinson Project in Queensland to EQ Resources as part of a broader effort to concentrate on its priority development and exploration assets. The transaction involves six exploration licences and is valued at AU$250,000 in cash, subject to customary approvals and completion requirements. By exiting the non-core asset, Sunshine aims to direct greater financial and operational resources toward advancing its Mt Moss Gold Plant, progressing studies at Liontown, and accelerating exploration activities across the Sybil project area. For EQ Resources, the acquisition adds a sizeable prospective land package near its Mt Carbine tungsten operation, supporting its regional expansion plans. The tenements contain areas previously identified as prospective for tungsten and gold, providing additional exploration opportunities close to existing infrastructure. The deal aligns with the strategic objectives of both companies, enabling Sunshine to focus on near-term development priorities while allowing EQ Resources to strengthen its long-term growth pipeline in North Queensland.
