Viking Achieves 16x Tungsten Grade Upgrade via Gravity Processing

Viking Mines Ltd (ASX: VKA) has delivered encouraging early metallurgical outcomes from gravity separation testwork at its Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada. Initial shaking table tests on a representative high-grade sample produced a scheelite rougher concentrate grading 22.9% WO₃, representing a 16-fold increase from the calculated 1.4% WO₃ feed grade. Recovery reached 63.7% at the coarsest grind size tested.

These results support the potential for a relatively simple and capital-efficient gravity processing pathway. Additional recovery upside is expected through further staged grinding optimisation and flotation of gravity tails, which form part of the evolving multi-step flowsheet.

The Company has commenced engagement with Mineral Technologies to assess modular processing options aimed at enabling a rapid development scenario. With tungsten prices remaining near historical highs, Viking is accelerating flowsheet refinement to maximise recoveries and evaluate scalable production alternatives.
