By the end of the trading session on 05 August 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed higher by 1.23% and settled at 8,770.40. All 11 sectors ended higher along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Consumer Discretionary and Financial are the top-gaining sector, gaining 1.81% and 1.49% in their it’s value.

Credit Corp Group Limited (ASX: CCP) and Iluka Resources Limited (ASX: ILU) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 16.186% and 8.646% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX) and Endeavour Group Limited (ASX: EDV) are the top-losing stocks, losing 8.449% and 2.885 in their stock prices.
