ASX Limited Reports Strong September Market Activity

ASX Limited released its September 2026 Monthly Activity Report on 7 October 2026, reporting stronger activity across several areas of its market operations. Average daily cash-market trades increased 16% year-on-year to 2.86 million, while average daily on-market value traded rose 4% to AU$7.744 billion. Total cash-market value reached AU$203.069 billion, up 2% from the previous corresponding period. Futures activity was particularly strong, with average daily futures volume increasing 44% to 1.43 million contracts. Total futures and options on futures activity also rose 44% year-on-year.

The Lottery Corporation Appoints New Company Secretary

The Lottery Corporation Limited announced on 8 October 2026 that Genevieve Ryan had been appointed Company Secretary, effective immediately after receiving the necessary regulatory approvals. Ryan brings more than 20 years of experience in legal and governance roles and most recently served as Group Company Secretary at Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited. She will become the primary person responsible for communications with ASX regarding Listing Rule matters. Adam Newman, who had been serving as interim Company Secretary, will step down from the position.

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Reports Option Conversion

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited announced on 7 October 2026 that 2,593 unquoted options had been converted into fully paid ordinary shares. The securities were originally issued under an employee incentive scheme and were converted on various dates during the quarter, with the transactions aggregated for reporting purposes. Following the conversion, the company had 94,746,866 ordinary shares quoted on ASX and 660,905 unquoted options remaining on issue.
