Generation Development Group Limited disclosed a new substantial holding involving State Street Corporation and its subsidiaries. Meanwhile, West African Resources Limited reported another strong production quarter from its operations in Burkina Faso. Lovisa Holdings Limited announced the resignation of its Group Chief Financial Officer, with a global search for a replacement now underway. On 8 October 2026, Generation Development Group announced a notice of initial substantial holding from State Street Corporation and its subsidiaries. The filing showed that the State Street group held 20,340,787 ordinary shares, equivalent to 5.07% voting power, with the group becoming a substantial holder on 6 October 2026. The relevant interests were spread across several State Street entities and included investment-management and securities-lending arrangements.

West African Resources Reports Strong Gold Output

West African Resources released its September 2026 quarter production update on 8 October 2026, reporting 127,950 ounces of group gold production from its Sanbrado and Kiaka operations. Gold sales reached 135,245 ounces at a realised price of US$4,240 per ounce, while year-to-date production stood at 360,857 ounces. The company said it remains on track to meet its 2026 production guidance of 430,000–490,000 ounces.

The company also commenced mining at the M5 South underground operation. At Kiaka, quarterly production increased 13% from the previous quarter, while Sanbrado continued to contribute significant output.

Lovisa Announces CFO Transition

Lovisa Holdings announced on 8 October 2026 that Group CFO Chris Lauder has resigned after nine years with the company. Lauder will complete a six-month notice period, with his final day scheduled for 7 April 2027. Lovisa said he would support an orderly transition, while the Board prepares to conduct a global search for his successor.
