Austin Engineering Eyes FY27 Rebound as Business Reset Gains Traction

Austin Engineering Limited (ASX: ANG) faced a softer FY26, with group revenue declining 12.7% to AU$329.0 million amid reduced tray volumes and operational challenges across key markets. EBITDA fell to AU$19.3 million, while NPAT reached AU$6.4 million. Performance was particularly affected by weaker activity in North America and APAC and difficulties associated with a legacy OEM contract in Chile.Cash flow performance, however, strengthened considerably. Operating cash flow increased to AU$26.7 million from AU$2.6 million, while net debt was reduced to AU$5.8 million. The company ended June with an order book of AU$132.9 million and secured another AU$32 million in orders after 1 July.Looking ahead, Austin is prioritising productivity, cost discipline and operational improvements across Chile and North America. Supported by stronger execution and APAC demand, the company is targeting FY27 underlying EBIT of AU$17–21 million.
