FY26 Earnings Supported Expansion Plans
GR Engineering Services Limited (ASX: GNG) reported on 24 August 2026 that FY26 revenue had risen to AU$493.2 million from AU$479.0 million in FY25, while EBITDA had improved to AU$63.1 million from AU$57.2 million. Net profit after tax had increased to approximately AU$39.0 million, compared with AU$34.2 million a year earlier.
The Group had finished FY26 with AU$87.9 million in cash and no external debt, reinforcing its financial flexibility. Management had also guided to FY27 revenue of between AU$825 million and AU$850 million, supported by a growing contracted and near-term project pipeline. A fully franked final dividend of 13 cents per share had also been declared.
AU$100 Million Placement Completed
On 26 August 2026, GR Engineering confirmed that it had received binding commitments for a AU$100 million institutional placement. New shares had been priced at AU$6.10 each, representing a 3.3% discount to the previous closing price of AU$6.31. Management had said the additional capital would strengthen the balance sheet and support delivery of its expanding workload.
GR Engineering Added to S&P/ASX 300
S&P Dow Jones Indices announced on 4 September 2026 that GR Engineering had been added to the S&P/ASX 300 Index, with the change becoming effective before trading opened on 21 September 2026. The inclusion had increased the company’s visibility among investors tracking broader Australian equity benchmarks.
Share Purchase Plan Reached Target
GR Engineering later announced on 29 September 2026 that its share purchase plan had successfully raised its AU$10 million target. Valid applications had totalled AU$32.5 million from 1,337 eligible shareholders, resulting in a scale-back. Around 1.6 million new shares were to be issued on 30 September 2026 at AU$6.10 each.
Outlook
GR Engineering now has a stronger capital base. The combined placement and SPP had raised approximately AU$110 million before costs, giving the Group additional capacity to fund working capital, retain flexibility for future acquisitions and build out its internal IT infrastructure and resourcing.
