Macmahon ASX Shares Rise as AU$98 Million Daisy Milano Contract Extension Strengthens Order Book

Macmahon ASX Shares Rise as AU$98 Million Daisy Milano Contract Extension Strengthens Order Book Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights

  • Macmahon secured a two-year extension worth approximately AU$98 million at Daisy Milano.
  • The underground mining contract will now continue through to the end of October 2028.
  • FY27 guidance and the capital expenditure budget remained unchanged following the contract extension.

AU$98 Million Extension Strengthens Contract Pipeline

Macmahon Holdings Limited (ASX: MAH) announced on 5 October 2026 that its fully owned underground mining business had been awarded an additional two years of work by Vault Minerals Limited at the Daisy Milano Gold Mine in Western Australia. Following the announcement, MAH shares traded at a CMP of AU$1.015, representing a surge of 1.500%.

The additional two-year agreement is projected to generate about AU$98 million for Macmahon, while extending its involvement at the underground mine through October 2028. The additional contract tenure also strengthens the company's secured order book, improving visibility over future work.

Underground Mining Services Continue

Macmahon has maintained its underground mining role at the Daisy Milano operation since commencing work there in 2024. Under the renewed arrangement, the contractor will continue undertaking mine development, charging, and load-and-haul activities at the operation.

Located in Western Australia's Kalgoorlie region, Daisy Milano forms part of Macmahon's underground mining portfolio. The extension indicates continuity in the relationship between Macmahon and Vault Minerals and provides another two years of contracted activity at the site.

Management highlighted the operational performance of its workforce at Daisy Milano, pointing to the team's focus on safe and dependable execution. The company also described the project as an important component of its underground operations and indicated that it intended to maintain its working relationship with Vault over the extended contract period.

FY27 Guidance Remains Intact

Importantly, Macmahon stated that the new contract extension had not resulted in any change to its FY27 guidance or capital expenditure budget. This suggests that the additional contracted revenue was consistent with the company's existing operational and financial planning assumptions.

Macmahon has an established operating footprint across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, delivering surface and underground mining services alongside civil infrastructure solutions for resources and other project sectors.

Outlook: Order Book Visibility Improves

The Daisy Milano extension provides Macmahon with greater contracted-work visibility through October 2028 while reinforcing its position in underground mining services. Although the company maintained its existing FY27 guidance, the approximately AU$98 million extension adds secured revenue and supports continuity at an established project.

For investors, future attention is likely to remain on contract execution, new project wins and the conversion of Macmahon's secured order book into revenue and earnings.
