The movements come as investors assess company-specific developments, financial performance and updated outlooks.

EOS Shares Rise on Defence Technology Momentum

Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited rose 8.207% to AU$10.020. The company’s latest substantial financial update was released on 25 August 2026, covering the half-year ended 30 June 2026. EOS generated AU$168.8 million in revenue from continuing operations, marking a significant rise from the previous corresponding period. Its underlying EBITDA also moved into positive territory at AU$21.6 million, compared with a AU$14.9 million loss recorded in the prior period. The company continued to highlight activity across its defence technology portfolio, including its MARSS business and counter-drone systems.

DroneShield Reports Strong Revenue Commitments

DroneShield Limited climbed 8.000% to AU$1.755. In its 10 September 2026 announcement, DroneShield said FY2026 committed revenue had increased to AU$251 million, compared with AU$240 million reported on 21 August 2026. The amount remains aligned with the company’s FY2026 revenue guidance of AU$250 million–AU$270 million. The company also announced its first order for RfRecon, from an existing Western European military customer.

Dyno Nobel Updates FY2026 Outlook

Dyno Nobel Limited gained 7.512% to AU$4.150. At its Investor Day on 16 September 2026, Dyno Nobel maintained its FY2026 guidance, with Group NPAT excluding IMIs expected at approximately AU$325 million to AU$340 million. Explosives EBIT guidance was positioned at around AU$480 million to AU$490 million. The company also outlined its capital allocation approach, including the cessation of the remaining approximately AU$325.6 million of its previously announced on-market share buyback.

Market Outlook

The latest gains across EOS, DroneShield and Dyno Nobel highlight continued investor attention on companies exposed to defence technology, explosives and industrial demand. Further trading direction is likely to depend on upcoming contracts, financial results, project execution and changes in company outlooks.
