Zip Co Limited(ASX: ZIP) shares moved 1.357% higher to AU$2.240 after the company revealed a Board appointment on 17 September 2026. Sarah Adam-Gedge has been appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director, starting immediately, and will also serve on the Audit and Risk Committee.
Adam-Gedge has a background spanning technology, digital services, governance, audit and risk management. During her executive career, she held leadership positions at Wipro Australia and New Zealand, Publicis Sapient Australia and Avanade Australia, and worked in senior roles at IBM Global Business Services.
Strengthening Governance to Support Growth
Zip said the new appointment will broaden the expertise available to its Board as it pursues its growth plans. Chair Diane Smith-Gander pointed to Adam-Gedge's track record with technology companies and on ASX-listed boards, noting in particular her strengths in commercial, governance, audit and risk areas. Zip has established operations in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, providing point-of-sale credit and digital payment products for consumers and merchants.
Upcoming Dates for Shareholders
Zip also released a separate update on 17 September 2026 outlining its corporate calendar.
