Three ASX companies have delivered important updates spanning gold mining, entertainment and artificial intelligence. Forrestania Resources released its latest announcement on 4 September 2026, while The Star Entertainment Group and FortifAI released FY26 updates on 31 August 2026.

Forrestania Completes Major Gold Acquisition

Forrestania Resources Limited has successfully completed its purchase of the Edna May Gold Project from Ramelius Resources.Under the transaction, the company paid AU$210 million in cash and issued 225 million shares, with the equity component valued at roughly AU$90 million. It also completed the second stage of its AU$310 million capital raising, securing approximately AU$215 million before costs The acquisition adds the Edna May and Lake Johnston processing facilities to Forrestania's portfolio in Western Australia. Following planned refurbishment and recommissioning activities, the two facilities are expected to provide a combined milling capacity of more than six million tonnes per year.

The Star Shows Signs of Financial Improvement

The Star Entertainment Group Limited reported its FY26 results on 31 August 2026, highlighting progress in its financial and operational recovery. The group recorded normalised revenue of AU$1.101 billion and reduced its normalised EBITDA loss to AU$16.1 million, compared with a loss of AU$76.2 million in the previous year. Its statutory net loss stood at AU$307.3 million. The company also reported AU$267 million in cash and cash equivalents at 30 June 2026 and said trading improved in July.

FortifAI Focuses on Nol8 Commercial Launch

FortifAI Ltd reported FY26 revenue of AU$1.88 million, down 56.5%, while its loss for the year widened to AU$8.83 million as investment increased in technology development. The company is now concentrating on advancing and bringing its Nol8 AI data technology to the commercial market. Version 1.0 was launched in July 2026 for testing and proof-of-concept activities, with Version 2.0 expected to be commercially ready near the end of the calendar year.
