Highlights

  • A radiopharmaceutical group secured ASX waivers on 22 September 2026 that give it more time to issue shares for its US$1.65 billion acquisition.
  • A defence technology company transferred 23,912 shares to employees after options were exercised on 21 September 2026.
  • A nickel-cobalt-scandium developer quoted 6,253 new shares from exercised options priced at AU$0.40.

Three ASX-listed companies posted strong gains on 22 September 2026. One cleared a regulatory step in a major overseas acquisition, while the other two lodged routine filings on option exercises. Here is what each disclosed.

How the shares moved

  • Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX: SRL): up AU$2.289 (12.603%) to AU$20.460.
  • Electro Optic Systems (ASX: EOS): up AU$0.799 (7.648%) to AU$11.260.
  • Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX: TLX): up AU$1.080 (6.852%) to AU$16.840, recovering part of the previous session's 11.7% fall.

Telix gains flexibility on ITM share issues

Telix Pharmaceuticals announced on 22 September 2026 that the ASX had granted waivers of Listing Rule 7.3.4 for its planned takeover of Germany's ITM Isotope Technologies Munich. The rule normally requires approved shares to be issued within three months of a shareholder meeting.

The deal involves issuing 105.8 million Telix shares, worth about US$1.25 billion, as part of the US$1.65 billion upfront price, with up to US$700 million more tied to ITM-11 approvals and sales. The waivers let Telix issue those upfront shares up to 12 months after shareholders approve them at an extraordinary general meeting expected in November 2026. Any milestone shares can follow within three months of each FDA approval, or within four months of Telix's 2030 accounts for the sales milestone.

Electro Optic Systems settles employee options

Electro Optic Systems lodged an Appendix 3G on 22 September 2026, confirming that 26,000 employee options were exercised on 21 September. Of these, 20,000 had a AU$0.50 strike price and 6,000 a AU$1.70 strike. The holders received 23,912 existing shares rather than newly issued stock, leaving the total at 221,702,162 shares.

Sunrise Energy Metals quotes new shares

Sunrise Energy Metals applied on 21 September 2026 to quote 6,253 shares issued after holders exercised options from its share purchase plan at AU$0.40 each, raising about AU$2,501. Ordinary shares on issue now total 169,492,198.

The bigger picture

None of these filings explains the size of the moves. The Telix waiver is procedural, and the option exercises at Sunrise and EOS are too small to shift valuations. Telix's rebound is notable, though: at AU$16.84, the stock is back above the AU$16.65 price used to set the ITM sellers' shares, easing one of the market's main concerns from the day before.
