Black Cat Syndicate Reports High-Grade Gold Results at Coyote Central

Black Cat Syndicate Reports High-Grade Gold Results at Coyote Central Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights

  • Drilling returned a high-grade gold intercept of 1.46 metres at 47.05 grams per tonne at Coyote Central.
  • Seven diamond drill holes covering 4,000 metres were completed to assess resource continuity and explore deeper mineralisation.
  • Further drilling at Coyote has been paused for the remainder of FY27 as capital is redirected towards the Paulsens and Kal East operations.

Black Cat Syndicate Limited (ASX: BC8) announced new drilling results from its 100%-owned Coyote Gold Operation in Western Australia's Tanami region on 16 October 2026. The results included high-grade gold intersections within the existing resource area and the identification of gold-bearing mineralisation at depth. The company said the findings provide further insight into the deposit, although exploration at Coyote will remain on hold while it prioritises work at its producing assets. Black Cat shares were trading at AU$0.705, up AU$0.034 or 5.223%, according to the supplied market data.

High-Grade Intercepts Strengthen Resource Understanding

The company completed seven diamond drill holes totalling 4,000 metres as part of its FY27 Discovery and Growth Strategy. Five holes targeted areas classified as Inferred Resources, with results supporting the continuity of gold mineralisation in and around the existing resource.

Notable results included 1.46 metres grading 47.05 grams per tonne of gold from a depth of 313.54 metres in hole CGDD26002. Hole CGDD26005 returned two intersections: one metre at 11.07 grams per tonne from 224 metres and one metre at 10.30 grams per tonne from 322.95 metres. Another hole, CGDD26007, intersected 1.54 metres at 4.90 grams per tonne from 221 metres.

Coyote Central has a reported resource of 1.568 million tonnes grading 8.5 grams per tonne for approximately 430,000 ounces of gold, with around 54% classified as Indicated. The company said the latest infill results increase confidence in the targeted areas.

Deeper Drilling Identifies a New Exploration Target

Two additional holes tested extensions of the deposit at depth. One intersected gold-bearing veins within an altered dolerite intrusion, returning 0.30 metres at 1.07 grams per tonne from 593.81 metres and 0.30 metres at 1.36 grams per tonne from 653.20 metres.

Although these grades were lower than the main high-grade intercepts, Black Cat considers the findings geologically significant. The company believes the intrusion may be associated with the gold mineralisation and plans to target areas above it, farther south, when exploration resumes.

Capital Redirected to Producing Operations

Managing Director Chris Stone said the infill drilling demonstrated grade continuity, while the deeper results identified a potential new area for exploration. However, the company has paused the current Coyote drilling program for the remainder of FY27 to redirect capital towards extending operations at Paulsens and Kal East. Work at Coyote is expected to resume after life-of-mine activities at the producing assets are completed.

Outlook

The latest results provide additional geological information for Coyote Central, but further drilling will be required to assess the deeper target. In the near term, Black Cat's focus remains on its operating assets and the planned exploration timetable.
