Iltani Resources Reports Further Outstanding Assay Results from Orient Drilling in QLD

Source: Kapitales Research

Key Highlights:

  • Iltani Resources has obtained assay results for drill holes ORR138 to ORR140 at the Orient Silver-Indium Project located in Herberton, North Queensland.
  • ORR138 delivered impressive intercepts, including 10m @ 111.7 g/t Ag, 44.1 g/t In, 2.2% Pb, and 2.1% Zn from 104m.
  • The drilling program in the Link Zone has demonstrated potential for further mineralisation, with results indicating the possibility of linking the Orient West and East resources.
  • An aggressive drilling program is planned for 2026, aiming to expand both the Orient East and West resources.

Drilling Results and Mineralisation at Orient

Iltani Resources Limited (ASX: ILT) has completed assay testing for drillholes ORR138 to ORR140, the final holes drilled in 2025 at the Orient Silver-Indium Project. These results highlight the continued success of exploration in the area, particularly in the ‘Link Zone’ between the Orient West and East deposits. The assays validated significant mineralisation, featuring high concentrations of silver, indium, lead, and zinc.

Notable Assay Results:

  • ORR138 returned an outstanding 10m @ 111.7 g/t Ag, 44.1 g/t In, 2.2% Pb, and 2.1% Zn from 104m, including 1m @ 437.2 g/t Ag, 265.2 g/t In, 8.1% Pb, and 10.4% Zn from 110m downhole.
  • ORR139 intersected 6m @ 47.6 g/t Ag, 8.5 g/t In, 1.2% Pb, and 1.0% Zn from 115m.
  • ORR140 showed 5m @ 26.2 g/t Ag, 2.1 g/t In, 0.7% Pb, and 0.7% Zn from 86m.

These results underline the potential of the Link Zone to connect the Orient West and East Mineral Resources. The upcoming drilling phase will focus on expanding the area and verifying the continuity of the mineralisation.

Exploration Strategy and Next Steps

The company is actively refining its drill plans for the 2026 field season, supported by recent funding of AU$8 million from the Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC). The next phase of drilling is expected to be the most aggressive yet, surpassing the total meters drilled in 2024 and 2025 combined.

At the Orient Project, a total of around 130 RC drill holes (approximately 30,000 metres) are planned for 2026. The objectives include:

  • The objective is to upgrade the Orient West Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) to the Indicated category.
  • Increasing the grade of the Orient West and East MREs.
  • Expanding the strike extensions of both the Orient West and East resources, particularly targeting the Link Zone.
  • Testing for deeper mineralisation, including at the Orient North zone, and assessing the economic potential of Vein 1.

For the Herberton Project, the exploration program includes:

  • 10 RC holes (~2,000m) and 15 diamond drill holes (~3,000m).
  • Drilling targets at Boonmoo, Union Jack, and Isabel deposits, focusing on silver, copper, and other base metals.

Project Overview and Future Prospects

The Orient Project, located in Northern Queensland, is Australia’s largest known silver-indium deposit. With an estimated 34.2 Mt @ 110.4 g/t Ag Eq., the project holds substantial potential for growth, and Iltani aims to expand both the Orient East and West resources through continued drilling.

With the growing mineral resource and increasing understanding of the geology, Iltani is well-positioned for future growth. The upcoming 2026 drilling campaign is set to build on the current progress and expand the project’s resource base significantly.
