Orange Minerals NL-Diamond Drilling Commences at Lennons Find
Orange Minerals NL (ASX: OMX) has begun drilling a 650m diamond hole at its Lennon’s Find Project in the Pilbara, targeting a deep IP response considered highly prospective for a feeder structure linked to the established zinc-lead-silver system. The project covers a 4.5km mineralised corridor where recent surface sampling produced standout results, including assays reaching 2,948 g/t silver, 3.55 g/t gold and 17.4% lead, pointing to the potential for a significant VMS system at depth.
Lennon’s Find includes an Inferred Resource (JORC 2012) of 1.55Mt containing 5.9% zinc, 0.2% copper, 1.6% lead, 0.28 g/t gold and 84 g/t silver within an approved Mining Lease, and much of the deeper mineralisation beneath this resource has never been properly explored. The new drill hole is guided by multiple geophysical datasets, with the 2024 IP survey correlating strongly with a magnetic lineament and a key fault structure. This program represents the first major assessment of deeper mineralisation below the Grey Nurse, Tiger, Hammerhead, Mako and Bronze Whaler prospects.
