St. George Mining Uncovers High-Grade Niobium and Rare Earths at Araxa
St. George Mining Limited (ASX: SGQ) has announced a significant high-grade niobium and rare earths discovery at its 100%-owned Araxá Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. New drilling results from expansion drilling 400m northwest of the existing Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) have intersected high-grade niobium, including 81.5m @ 1.27% Nb₂O₅, with 43m @ 2.01% Nb₂O₅ from surface. These results reinforce the world-class status of the niobium deposit, located in the Barreiro Carbonatite, next to CBMM’s industry-leading niobium mining operations. The discovery supports a significant upgrade of the MRE, which is planned for Q1 2026, and demonstrates the potential for large-scale development, especially given the niobium grades starting from surface. Additionally, high-grade rare earth elements (REE) were confirmed within the new discovery area, further strengthening the multi-commodity potential of the project.
