By the end of the trading session on 08 November 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.26% and settled at 6,995.40. Out of 11 sectors, 9 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

Information Technology and A-REIT sectors were the top-declining sectors, gaining 1.86% and 1.19% respectively in their index values. Materials sector was the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.06% respectively in their index values.

James Hardie Industries PLC (ASX: JHX) and Sayona Mining Limited (ASX: SYA) were the top gainers, with 13.756% and 8.750% growth in share prices, respectively. South32 Limited (ASX: S32) and Capricorn Metals Limited (ASX: CMM) were the top losers, with 4.308% and 4.133% drop in share prices, respectively.
