By the end of the trading session on 01 July 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed lower by 0.01% and settled at 8,541.10. Out of the 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended lower along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Utilities and A-REIT is the top-gaining sector, gaining 0.92% and 0.79% in their it’s value. On the other hand, Industrials and Telecommunications Services are the top-losing sector, losing 0.60% and 0.26% in their index value.

Mesoblast Limited (ASX: MSB) and IDP Educations Limited (ASX: IEL) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 11.178% and 9.536% in their stock prices. On the other hand, HMC Capital Limited (ASX: HMC) and Lovisha Holdings Limited (ASX: LOV) are the top-losing stocks, losing 17.255% and 4.357% in their stock prices.

  • Asian and European markets showed mixed performance, with the Hang Seng down 0.87% and the FTSE 100 flat at 0.00% today.
