By the end of trading session on 01 October 2025, benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed 0.04% lower at 8,845.70. Out of 11 sectors, 05 sectors ended lower along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Utilities and Industrials were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 0.90% and 0.47% in their values. On the other hand, Consumer Discretionary and Financial were the top-losing sectors, losing 0.95% and 0.53% in their values

Droneshield Limited (ASX: DRO) and Westgold Resources Limited (ASX: WGX) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 15.236% and 11.607% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) and Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) are the top-losing stocks, losing 9.899% and 6.945% in their stock prices.
