ASX/200 Closed Higher by 0.81%, Lifted by Information Technology

By the end of the trading session on 29 April 2024, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 0.81% and settled at 7,637.40. All 11 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200.

Information Technology and A-REIT sectors were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 1.68% and 1.60% respectively in their index values.

Strike Energy Limited (ASX: STX) and Boss Energy Limited (ASX: BOE) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 10.000% and 9.132% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Karoon Energy Limited (ASX: KAR) and Newmont Corporation (ASX: NEM) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 1.805% and 1.446% in their stock prices.
