ASX Stocks in Focus on Fresh Corporate Developments

Several ASX-listed companies were in focus on 29 September 2026, with Dateline Resources Limited, Healius Limited and Sunrise Energy Metals Limited posting notable gains. Company-specific developments across mining, healthcare and energy helped place the three stocks on investors’ radar, with all recording gains of more than 9%. The strongest move came from Dateline Resources, whose shares climbed more than 26% following an update concerning its Colosseum project and ongoing court proceedings.

Stocks in Focus

  • Dateline Resources Limited (ASX: DTR) is trading at a current market price of AU$0.117, up AU$0.024 or 26.344%.
  • Healius Limited (ASX: HLS) is trading at AU$0.420, up AU$0.044 or 11.999%.
  • Sunrise Energy Metals Limited (ASX: SRL) is trading at AU$23.140, up AU$2.019 or 9.564%.

Dateline Resources Gains on Colosseum Update

Dateline Resources announced on 28 September 2026 that Federal Defendants in the National Parks Conservation Association proceedings had filed a motion with the US District Court for the Central District of California seeking a stay of the preliminary injunction pending appeal. The filing is separate from Dateline and its wholly owned subsidiary Colosseum Rare Metals’ own stay application.

The Government’s motion is supported by a declaration from Michael P. Cadenazzi, Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy. The declaration highlights the strategic relevance of the Colosseum site for rare earth exploration and its proximity to the Mountain Pass mine and processing facility. The stay motions are scheduled to be heard on 26 October 2026, while appeals against the preliminary injunction are already before the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Healius Sees Change in Major Shareholding

Healius was also among the day’s notable movers after a substantial holder update disclosed changes in the interests of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. The filing showed its voting power declining from 6.86% to 5.71%, with its present interest standing at 41,474,407 votes.A separate notice from Citigroup Global Markets Australia also showed its voting interest in Healius falling from 8.0772% to 5.6481%.

Sunrise Energy Metals Issues New Shares

Sunrise Energy Metals lodged an Appendix 2A with the ASX on 29 September 2026, covering the quotation of 10,005 fully paid ordinary shares. The securities resulted from the exercise of options and were issued at AU$0.40 per share. The filing states that the options were exercised on 25 September 2026, with the resulting shares ranking equally with existing securities.

Outlook for the Three ASX Stocks

Investor attention may now turn to the next developments surrounding these companies. For Dateline, the 26 October court hearing represents an important upcoming milestone. Healius may remain in focus as investors assess changes in major shareholder positions, while Sunrise Energy Metals’ latest securities issue adds another capital-structure development to monitor. The strong daily gains across all three stocks highlight heightened market interest, although their future share-price performance will depend on subsequent corporate, operational and regulatory developments.
