Why Gold Is on Investors' Radar

These ASX gold stocks to watch are five listed producers that each reported production, cost and cash figures for the September 2026 quarter. Gold's own chart sets the backdrop, so this article first reads the metal's daily chart and then profiles each company, with the latest price and key reported metrics, so readers can track the same figures as new reports arrive.

What Is Gold Saying? Reading the Daily Chart

On the daily chart, gold was at US$3,930.79 on 4 November 2026, up 0.04% on the day, within a session range of US$3,919.93 to US$3,940.60. Price sits below all three exponential moving averages (EMAs) marked on the chart, at US$4,050.47, US$4,155.51 and US$4,258.43.

A falling trendline drawn from the early-2026 high above US$5,500 connects a series of lower highs, and price remains below it. A horizontal support level at US$3,886.72 has been revisited several times since late 2025, and recent lows have tested it. The next marked level is US$3,437.03, the top of the consolidation range that formed in mid-2025. The RSI reads 36.00, below its 50 midline.

For ASX producers, the gold price is the main input into revenue, while AISC measures what it costs to produce each ounce. Genesis Minerals, for example, reported an average sale price of AU$5,902/oz against an AISC of AU$2,966/oz, a gap of AU$2,936/oz. Moves in gold, in either direction, flow through that gap.
