Augustus Minerals Expands Gold Prospectivity at Music Well with High-Grade Assays and New Targets

Augustus Minerals Limited (ASX: AUG) has announced promising results from ongoing fieldwork at its Music Well Gold Project, located near Leonora in Western Australia. Recent mapping and sampling efforts have significantly expanded the mineralised footprint at key prospects such as Clifton East and St Patrick’s Well, with strike lengths more than doubled. The team also identified eight new gold-bearing vein zones, clustered across four distinct structural corridors—the Central Belt, Black Cat–Bulls Head Zone, Dodd’s and Redcliffe West Zone, and Jindardie NE Zone. These zones are associated with major regional structures known to host high-grade mineralisation.

Notably, large areas within these structures remain covered by shallow soils, prompting the Company to evaluate geochemical techniques such as soil sampling and auger drilling to test concealed targets. Augustus holds twelve exploration licences spanning 1,345km² in the Leonora-Laverton Greenstone Belt, a region with more than 28 million ounces of historic gold endowment. The project is situated near major operations including Darlot, King of the Hills, and Thunderbox.
