Austral Gold Revises Guanaco Mine Outlook

Austral Gold Limited has updated its 2025 production guidance for the Guanaco Mine in Chile, lowering expectations to 11,000–12,000 gold equivalent ounces (GEOs) from the earlier 14,000–16,000 GEOs. The revision follows the temporary suspension of the agitation leach circuit after a workplace fatality in August 2025. While the Chilean authorities have allowed the company to begin plant improvements, the agitation circuit remains offline. Operations continue through the heap leach circuit, with reprocessing of historical heaps expected to support output exceeding 1,200 GEOs per month by November 2025.

To manage the short-term cash impact of reduced production, Austral sold part of its equity portfolio, generating about US$1.3 million in proceeds, and also received a final US$1 million installment from Unico Silver linked to a prior asset sale.
