Blackstone Minerals Announces Leadership Transition and Board Strengthening
Blackstone Minerals Limited (ASX: BSX) has announced a change in senior leadership alongside a board appointment aimed at ensuring continuity and strengthening technical oversight. Managing Director Mr Scott Williamson has resigned from his role, with his tenure concluding on 31 January 2026. The Board expressed its appreciation for his efforts and confirmed that appropriate handover measures have been implemented. To maintain executive leadership, current Non-Executive Director Mr Geoff Gilmour has been appointed as Executive Chairman with immediate effect, taking on an active role while the Company undertakes a formal search for a new Chief Executive Officer and/or Managing Director.
In parallel, Blackstone has appointed Mr Greg Cunnold as a Non-Executive Director. Mr Cunnold is a geologist with prior directorship experience and specific technical knowledge of the Mankayan Copper-Gold Project in the Philippines, which is expected to add depth to the Board’s technical capability during this period of change. The Company has indicated it will continue to keep shareholders informed as the leadership appointment process progresses.
