BrainChip Announces AU$35 Million Placement and SPP to Accelerate Edge AI Growth

BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN), has announced a fully underwritten institutional placement of AU$35 million and a non-underwritten Share Purchase Plan (SPP) to raise up to an additional AU$2 million. The capital raising, priced at AU$0.175 per share—a discount to recent market levels—will accelerate the commercialisation of the Akida™ 2.0 neuromorphic platform and advance the development of edge AI and generative AI technologies.

Proceeds will fund R&D for TENNs algorithms, Pico devices, and next-generation chip architecture, as well as strengthen working capital and operational support. CEO Sean Hehir said the raise empowers BrainChip to drive leadership in edge AI and deliver transformative on-device intelligence. Managed by Unified Capital Partners and Morgans Corporate, the initiative strategically positions BrainChip to scale in high-growth sectors including defense, healthcare, and wearables while reinforcing its edge in neuromorphic computing innovation.
