Brazilian Critical Minerals Advances Rare Earth Processing at Ema Project

Brazilian Critical Minerals Limited (ASX: BCM) has reported successful bench-scale testwork demonstrating the ability to significantly upgrade and separate rare earth elements from Ema field trial pregnant liquor solution using proprietary technology developed by Rare Earth Technologies Inc (RETi). The trial achieved a 200-times increase in rare earth concentration, lifting total rare earth oxides excluding cerium from 930 parts per million to 186,000 parts per million, while maintaining near-complete recovery.

Importantly, the process enabled the clean separation of individual rare earth oxides, each reaching a minimum purity of 99.9% within a short processing cycle. The testwork also showed strong rejection of common impurities and low chemical and energy intensity, reinforcing the environmental credentials of the Ema in-situ recovery project. RETi’s technology, already operating at commercial scale in Europe, provides BCM with a technically robust pathway to maximise recoverable value. Further testing and independent validation are planned during 2026 to assess scalability and commercial application.
