Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX: CYL) has finalized the sale of its Henty gold mine in Tasmania to Kaiser Reef Limited (ASX: KAU) for AU$15 million, securing a 19.99% equity stake in Kaiser. This transaction marks a strategic pivot, enabling Catalyst to focus on its flagship Plutonic Gold Belt in Western Australia. The company plans to develop three low-capex gold projects over the next 12–18 months, leveraging an existing, underutilized central processing facility. Catalyst also retains the option to acquire a 50% stake in the Maldon processing plant in Victoria, enhancing its operational flexibility. In Victoria, exploration north of the historic Bendigo goldfield has revealed a high-grade greenfield discovery (26 g/t Au), with more prospects along strike. Catalyst boasts a strong financial position with A$98 million in cash and no debt, supporting its aim for a five-year mine plan across four sites.
