Centaurus Metals Limited (ASX: CTM) has reported significant copper-gold and iron ore discoveries from its 100%-owned Boi Novo Project in Brazil’s Carajás Mineral Province. At the Nelore East Prospect, shallow high-grade intercepts—such as 11.5m at 2.84% Cu and 0.90g/t Au—reveal a newly identified mineralised zone open along strike and depth. Complementing this, drilling at Nelore West confirms continuity between high-grade breccia pipes, intersecting broad zones of 0.3–0.5% Cu over widths exceeding 40m. The Boi Novo tenure also hosts promising iron ore potential, with zones up to 36.1m at 32.48% Fe intersected. Located just 20km from BHP’s Antas Norte plant, the project benefits from strategic infrastructure proximity. Ongoing EM surveys, geological mapping, and metallurgical testwork aim to refine drill targets and enhance resource potential. The results affirm Boi Novo’s growing prospectivity for both copper-gold and iron ore, reinforcing its position in Brazil’s premier mining belt.
