Charger Metals Delivers High-Grade Gold Discovery at Lake Johnston
Charger Metals NL (ASX: CHR) has announced a significant high-grade gold discovery at the newly identified Xmas Gold Discovery within its 100% owned Lake Johnston Lithium and Gold Project in Western Australia. Initial reverse circulation drilling intersected strong gold mineralisation, highlighted by 12 metres at 6.55 g/t gold, including a higher-grade interval of 4 metres at 16.9 g/t, confirming the presence of a robust mineralised system. The discovery lies within a large, under-explored soil anomaly spanning approximately 1.8 km by 1.7 km, supported by coincident gravity and magnetic targets that point to mafic-hosted gold potential. Importantly, no historical RC or diamond drilling has been conducted near the discovery, enhancing the exploration upside. Results from the remaining drill samples are yet to be received, while follow-up RC and diamond drilling is expected to begin shortly. Overall, the results materially upgrade the gold prospectivity of the Mt Gordon tenement and reinforce Lake Johnston as a high-potential exploration asset.
