EQ Resources Expands Mt Carbine Drilling to Unlock Resource Growth
EQ Resources Limited (ASX: EQR) has launched a structured drilling campaign at its Mt Carbine Tungsten Mine in Queensland, targeting resource expansion and improved reserve definition. The program comprises 28 drill holes spanning approximately 7,700 metres, aimed at extending known mineralisation and strengthening geological confidence. Diamond drilling commenced on 16 March 2026, with five holes completed covering 1,900 metres, while a reverse circulation (RC) rig mobilised on 11 April 2026 has drilled an additional three holes totalling 710 metres to support grade control and broader exploration.
The campaign is designed to validate continuity across mineralised zones and test potential extensions, thereby enhancing the reliability of planned resources. This work is expected to play a key role in future mine optimisation and support a resource and reserve update scheduled for late 2026.
Assay processing by Intertek is currently guided at 20 to 30 business days from sample receipt in Townsville. Results are anticipated to be progressively released over the next three to six months, providing steady operational visibility and insights into the deposit’s expansion potential.
