GT1 Unveils Major Rubidium Resource at Seymour Project in Ontario.

Jul 24, 2025

Green Technology Metals (ASX: GT1) has announced a significant maiden Rubidium Mineral Resource at its Seymour Project in Ontario, Canada. The deposit hosts 8.3 million tonnes at 0.27% Rb₂O (~23,000 tonnes), including a high-grade portion of 3.4 million tonnes at 0.40% Rb₂O (~13,600 tonnes). Uniquely positioned within GT1’s lithium resource, this Rubidium discovery enhances the project’s strategic value. Hosted in mica already removed in lithium processing, the metal offers a potential low-cost by-product revenue stream.

Recognised as a critical mineral by the US and Japan, Rubidium is vital in defence, quantum tech, and electronics. With prices at approximately US$1,060/kg and demand forecast to grow to US$8 billion by 2033, GT1 is well placed to capitalise. Located close to the US and Japanese markets, and with strong government support, Seymour could emerge as one of the largest and most strategic Rubidium sources globally.
