Lachlan Star Limited (ASX: LSA) has completed the acquisition of the highly promising New Waverley Gold Project, situated in the Norseman region of Western Australia. With this acquisition, the company now holds a 90% interest in the project, greatly enhancing its position in the region. The deal involved a cash payment of AU$150,000 and the issuance of 12.5 million fully-paid ordinary shares, with 50% of these shares held in voluntary escrow for 12 months.
The completion of this acquisition is timely, as it aligns with the imminent commencement of Lachlan Star’s maiden diamond drilling program. This program is scheduled to start next week and will focus on key structural positions, including extensions to gold-rich quartz veins at Trial Pit and unmined high-grade intercepts beneath Waverley Pit. The acquisition marks a significant milestone, positioning Lachlan Star for future exploration success and growth.
