Magnetic Resources NL (ASX: MAU) has been granted Mining Lease M38/1315, covering its flagship Lady Julie North 4 (LJN4) deposit, which contains 31.2Mt at 1.93g/t gold for 1.94Moz. The company has also signed an access agreement with GSM Mining Company, allowing for the imminent granting of leases M38/1317 and M38/1318, completing the permitting for the Lady Julie Gold Project. A recent feasibility study confirms the project’s strong economics, including a 9-year mine life, AU$1.75 billion in pre-tax cashflow, and 1.02Moz of gold recovered at an average AISC of AU$1,908/oz.
Managing Director George Sakalidis emphasized the lease approval as a critical step toward making the project shovel-ready. With robust feasibility results, including a pre-tax NPV of AU$970 million and IRR of 45%, Magnetic Resources is positioned to advance toward gold production at scale in Laverton, WA, supported by over 2.1Moz of total gold resources across the broader project area.
