Meteoric Secures AU$42.5 million to Advance Caldeira Rare Earth Project

Meteoric Resources NL (ASX: MEI) has successfully raised AU$42.5 million through an over-subscribed institutional placement, underpinned by strong support from global investors, particularly from North America. The capital will fund key milestones for the 100%-owned Caldeira Rare Earth Project in Brazil, including definitive feasibility studies, environmental licensing, community initiatives, and a 25kg/hr pilot plant for producing mixed rare earth carbonate. This placement coincides with the release of Caldeira’s Pre-Feasibility Study, which highlighted a maiden ore reserve of 103Mt @ 4,091ppm TREO within a 1.5Bt resource base. The new funding significantly strengthens Meteoric’s balance sheet with a pro-forma cash position of ~AU$53.5 million as of June 30, 2025. The company is targeting a final go-ahead on investment plans by 2026. According to CEO Stuart Gale, the investment is a strong endorsement of Caldeira’s strategic value in the rare earth supply chain
