Perseus Mining Limited (ASX: PRU) has announced the retirement of its long-serving Managing Director and CEO, Jeff Quartermaine, effective 30 September 2025. Mr. Quartermaine, who joined Perseus in 2010 as CFO and became CEO in 2013, led the company’s transformation from a single-mine operation to a leading multi-mine gold producer in Africa. Under his leadership, Perseus became an ASX100 company and established three operating mines with a fourth under development.
Craig Jones, former Global COO at Newcrest, will succeed Mr. Quartermaine, commencing at Perseus on 18 August 2025 and officially stepping into the MD and CEO role on 1 October. Mr. Jones brings over 25 years of global mining experience and is recognised for his values-driven leadership. His appointment marks the next chapter of strategic growth and operational excellence for Perseus as it continues to expand its footprint across key jurisdictions.
