PLC Resources Secures Fresh Capital to Accelerate WA Gold Exploration
PLC Resources Limited (ASX: PLC) has secured AU$1.8 million through a placement to sophisticated and institutional investors, strengthening its financial position as it advances exploration activities across its Western Australian gold projects. The company issued 225 million shares at AU$0.008 per share and expects to hold approximately AU$3 million in cash following the raising. Funds will primarily support drilling, geophysical surveys, and geological programs at the Yalgoo Gold Project and Abbotts North Gold Project. Management stated that exploration will focus on resource expansion and identifying new discovery opportunities within highly prospective greenstone belts. The Yalgoo project already hosts a maiden inferred gold resource, while Abbotts North is considered prospective for high-grade reef-style mineralisation.
PLC Resources recently shifted its strategic focus toward gold and copper exploration after operating previously as Premier1 Lithium Limited. The company believes disciplined capital allocation and systematic exploration could enhance shareholder value as drilling activities progress across both flagship assets.
