Resolution Minerals Reports High-Grade Tungsten in Stockpiles at Johnson Creek
Resolution Minerals Limited (ASX: RML) has reported high-grade tungsten in a mini-bulk sample from stockpiles at its newly acquired Johnson Creek Tungsten & Antimony Mill in Idaho, USA. The stockpiles, derived from the historic Golden Gate Tungsten Mine, feature 1.85% WO3 and contain significant gold levels of 0.11g/t.. A detailed mineralogical study identified scheelite as the dominant tungsten ore mineral, with low levels of impurities such as arsenic (97ppm) and molybdenum (below detection).
The positive results indicate the potential for a low-cost processing pathway. Further exploration work will focus on upgrading the stockpiles to JORC-compliant standards and evaluating their potential for direct off-take agreements. The U.S. government’s critical minerals policy is expected to support the fast-tracking of this project to reduce dependency on offshore tungsten supply.
