Tivan Limited (ASX: TVN) has received two exploration grants from the Northern Territory Government under Round 18 of the Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations (GDC) program for its Sandover Fluorite Project. The grants include AU$100,000 for the upcoming maiden RC drilling campaign and AU$50,000 for early-stage metallurgical testwork. Located approximately 230 km northeast of Alice Springs, the project returned exceptional fluorite assay results from surface sampling conducted in late 2024, suggesting world-class potential.
Tivan is advancing exploration and permitting activities, with drilling and a scoping study planned for Q4 2025. The company is evaluating both direct shipping ore and acid-grade fluorspar production pathways. Engagements with Traditional Owners and environmental licensing are also underway. These grants reinforce government support for the project and highlight Tivan’s strategic focus on central Australia’s critical mineral potential. Further assay results and exploration activity are expected in the coming months.
