Urenco and Ubaryon Finalise Strategic Uranium Enrichment Partnership.

Global Uranium and Enrichment Limited (ASX: GUE) has announced the completion of a binding agreement between uranium enrichment leader Urenco and Australian tech innovator Ubaryon. Under this agreement, Urenco will invest AU$5.0 million AUD over three years and contribute technical expertise to advance Ubaryon’s next-generation uranium enrichment technology, which operates without the need for UF6 conversion. GUE, holding a 21.9% stake in Ubaryon, will maintain its ownership with an additional AU$500,000 investment.

Ubaryon's proprietary technology, validated at Technology Readiness Level 4, simplifies the enrichment process by eliminating conversion steps. This partnership is seen as a strong endorsement of Ubaryon’s potential, offering an innovative and flexible approach to the nuclear fuel supply chain. Both companies aim to commercialise this disruptive technology while ensuring compliance with Australian nuclear regulations and non-proliferation standards.
