Uvre Finalises NZ Gold Acquisition and Boosts Board Expertise

Uvre Limited (ASX: UVA) has successfully completed the acquisition of gold exploration assets in New Zealand, strengthening its project portfolio with the Waitekauri and Oturehua Gold Projects. The company acquired 100% of Minerals Exploration Limited, whose subsidiary Otagold Limited holds the NZ assets. As part of the deal, 75 million shares were issued to the vendors at $0.08 per share, with a 12-month escrow. Accompanying this strategic move, experienced mining leaders Norman Seckold and Peter Nightingale have joined the Uvre board as non-executive directors, replacing Steven Wood and Peter Woods. The newly acquired brownfields assets have already yielded high-grade initial rock chip assays—up to 18.4g/t gold with visible gold—paving the way for the company’s first drilling campaign at Waitekauri, located just 8km from OceanaGold Corporation’s Waihi mine. Backed by a recent $4 million equity raise, Uvre is now accelerating exploration efforts across the NZ portfolio.
