Viking Mines Discovers Gold Nuggets and Commences Drilling at Riverina East Project

Viking Mines Limited (ASX: VKA) has reported the recovery of gold nuggets totalling 9.84 grams at the Southern Structural Target (SST) within its Riverina East Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. The discovery includes individual nuggets weighing up to 3.37 grams, reinforcing the high prospectivity of the target area. The Company has mobilised a drill rig to commence a ~4,300m drilling program, comprising approximately 1,500m at the Bifrost South Target to test step-out extensions of recent high-grade intercepts, including 2m at 23.6g/t Au, and 2,800m at the Southern Structural Target to test auger soil anomalies and historic drilling results.

In addition, a drone magnetic survey is underway over Bifrost to deliver high-resolution geophysical data and enhance future drill targeting. Managing Director & CEO Julian Woodcock said the nugget discovery and ongoing exploration mark an exciting phase for Viking as it advances drilling across its 25km Zuleika Shear Zone tenure, located near major gold camps including Riverina/Mulline and Davyhurst.
