West Cobar Metals Limited (ASX: WC1) has successfully completed the 100% acquisition of the Mystique Gold Project (tenement E28/2513) in the Fraser Range, Western Australia. The acquisition follows the fulfilment of all conditions precedent and secures a 35 km² area prospective for significant orogenic gold mineralisation. The project lies immediately south of the Themis Prospect, where Rumble Resources reported high-grade gold intercepts, including 25m @ 2.42g/t Au and 16m @ 6.69g/t Au.
Initial exploration at Mystique will target potential gold extensions at the Themis South and Torquata Prospects, focusing on palaeochannel, saprolite, and basement-hosted gold systems. A drilling program is being prepared to define these promising targets. Despite the region's thick sediment cover, the structural setting and nearby gold discoveries offer strong exploration upside. This acquisition aligns with West Cobar’s strategy of advancing high-potential assets in premier Australian mineral provinces.
