X2M Wins Water Digitisation Contract in Seoul

X2M Connect Limited (ASX: X2M) has secured a repeat contract from the City of Seoul, South Korea, valued at approximately AU$0.8 million, to deliver remote water meter monitoring for 6,750 households. The project is scheduled for completion by November 2025 and builds on X2M’s earlier contract with the city, underscoring growing demand for its smart metering technology. Seoul, which has around 2.27 million households with water meters, has committed to digitising all meters by 2040 under its “Water Leak Alert” program, an initiative expected to cost about AU$240 million.

The rollout aims to detect leaks early, reduce waste, and cut unnecessary water bills. X2M’s CEO, Mohan Jesudason, noted that the contract not only validates the company’s technology but also strengthens its presence in the broader smart city ecosystem. With active mandates across utilities, lighting, renewable energy, and public safety, X2M is positioned to capture significant opportunities in Seoul’s long-term digital transformation.
