By the end of the trading session on 06 December 2023, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 ended higher by 1.65% and settled at 7,178.40. All 11 sectors closed higher along with the ASX 200. The A-REIT and Communication Services sectors were the only gaining sectors, gained 3.12% and 2.13% in its index value.

Core Lithium Ltd (ASX: CXO) and HMC Capital Limited (ASX: HMC) were the top gainers, with 17.391% and 14.919% growth in share prices, respectively. On the other hand, Evolution Mining Limited (ASX: EVN) and Life360 Inc. (ASX: 360) were the top losers, with a 13.044% and 7.388% drop in share prices, respectively.

• Evolution Mining crashed today after the miner said it raised $525 million after placing 138.2 million new shares to institutional investors at $3.80 a share.


• The Dow has closed down by 0.22%, the S&P 500 down by 0.06%, and the NASDAQ ended higher by 0.31%.


• Hang Seng is down by 1.91%, and FTSE 100 is down by 0.31%.
