ASX/200 Closed Lower by 0.29%, Dragged down by Healthcare

By the end of trading session on 11 September 2025, benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed 0.29% lower at 8,805.00. Out of 11 sectors, 06 sectors ended lower along with the S&P/ASX 200.

A-REIT and Energy were the top-gaining sectors, gaining 0.69% and 0.65% in it’s value. On the other hand, Healthcare and Financial were the top-losing sectors, losing 1.76% and 0.77% in it’s value.

Evolution Mining Limited (ASX: EVN) and Regis Resources Limited (ASX: RRL) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 6.243% and 6.237% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Limited (ASX: NEC) and Boss Energy Limited (ASX: BOE) are the top-losing stocks, losing 36.883% and 12.152% in their stock prices.

  • Perenti Limited (ASX: PRN) gained 4.2% to $2.50 following news that its subsidiary Barminco secured a four-year contract to provide underground mining services at Ramelius Resources’ Dalgaranga gold project in Western Australia.
  • Gold Market Update: Gold held steady just below record levels after a surprise decline in U.S. producer prices reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve may ease monetary policy.
  • Global Indices: In the U.S., the Dow Jones fell 0.48%, the S&P 500 rose 0.30%, and the Nasdaq edged up 0.03%. 
  • In Asia and Europe, the Hang Seng slipped 0.05%, while the FTSE 100 was down 0.19% today.
