  • Cash and receivables reached AU$207 million, with the company reporting no debt at the end of the financial year.

Aeris Resources Limited (ASX: AIS), an Australian copper and gold producer, reported stronger financial and operational performance for the financial year ended 30 June 2026. The company’s 2026 Annual Report, authorised for issue on 27 August 2026, highlighted higher revenue, improved profitability and a strengthened balance sheet.

The company attributed its progress to improved production across its operations, exploration achievements and strategic developments aimed at extending the operating life of its assets. Aeris also advanced its growth projects while strengthening its financial position to support future investment.

Revenue and Profitability Improve

Aeris Resources recorded revenue of AU$702.8 million in FY26, up from AU$577.1 million in FY25. Gross profit increased to AU$210.4 million from AU$115.4 million, reflecting an improvement in the company’s overall operating performance.

Profit before net finance costs reached AU$150.3 million, compared with AU$69.3 million in the previous year. After accounting for an income tax benefit of AU$51.5 million, profit attributable to shareholders increased to AU$178.5 million from AU$45.2 million. Basic earnings per share rose to 16.1 cents, compared with 4.7 cents in FY25.

Meanwhile, EBITDA reached AU$290 million, an 81% year-on-year increase, according to the annual report. These results indicate a substantial improvement in earnings performance during the reporting period.

Copper and Gold Operations Support Growth

Aeris Resources achieved group copper-equivalent production of 42.1 kilotonnes in FY26, in line with its guidance. Group copper production reached 23 kilotonnes, while gold production totalled 49,000 ounces. Its Tritton operations produced approximately 23,000 tonnes of copper, a 19% increase on the previous financial year. The processing mill also achieved its full nameplate throughput capacity during the final quarter.

At Cracow, gold production reached 40,599 ounces. Exploration activities at the Golden Plateau deposit returned encouraging results, prompting the company to extend its drilling programme into FY27. The company also progressed development activities at the Constellation project and advanced feasibility work at its Stockman project in Victoria.

Balance Sheet Strengthens as Growth Projects Advance

Aeris Resources ended FY26 with AU$207 million in cash and receivables and no debt. The company said capital-raising initiatives and the divestment of its North Queensland assets supported efforts to strengthen its balance sheet and fund future growth.

The acquisition of Peel Mining Limited, completed on 1 July 2026, added the Mallee Bull and Wirlong copper deposits to the company’s portfolio, expanding its potential long-term supply of ore for the Tritton processing plant.

Outlook

Aeris Resources enters FY27 with improved earnings, a stronger financial position and an expanded project pipeline. Continued exploration, development at Constellation and progress on the Stockman feasibility study are expected to remain important areas of focus. However, future performance will depend on operational execution, project development and prevailing commodity market conditions.
